What a lovely start

Thanks so much to those who’ve helped kick it off on day one. You make me feel like it’s totally do-able. xo, teresa

Can you help make it happen?

I’ve been working on my single-parent-abroad memoir for a while now and it’s finally to the point that it needs to happen, but I can’t do it alone. I need to raise the funds to have it professionally edited and published (I’m thinking of using that spiffy book-making machine at Powell’s). It will cost a few thousand thousand to cover all the cost, but we’re trying to raise a little more to help out those who were so kind to us while in Vietnam.

If you can spare a buck or more, please pledge. It really is the little bits that count.

getting it started

The time’s come to get this book finished and on its merry way, but alongside it we’re looking to help out those who made a huge impact on our lives.  Our stories would be lame if we hadn’t spent all that time with the orphans in Tam Ky and if we hadn’t had such an amazing cook: Mrs. Hanh.

Seriously, without them the adventures would have likely ended there and we would never have met everyone we came to adore in Thanh Hoa. And we never would have gone back again in 2009.

Isn’t it funny how drastically life can change when certain people come into your life?

I have a huge list of people to thank for everything they did for and with us in Vietnam. And now that list is growing stateside. Thanks to those of you who’ve already joined the Facebook page. Thanks to anyone who can pledge to our cause.
